At novo we aim to deliver the highest quality of hairdressing and service on every visit. We never expect a ‘tip’, but always appreciate it when clients feel they want to show their appreciation for the service they have received by tipping. Unfortunately, our dear friends at HMRC (boo-hiss) expect us to deduct Tax and NI off of any tips we collect when the tip is added to a credit/debit card transaction. We also find that very few clients pay with cash or have cash on hand. As a result we have introduced a cashless tipping system called EasyTip. Should a client want to leave a cashless tip, they simply scan the QR code at reception (or situated on styling mirrors) and select which stylist or apprentice they wish to reward and pay via Apple Pay, Google Pay (or similar).
