I have been going to the Novo salon in Hockley for my cuts for few years now. Highly recommend Lillie for a great cut... and finish. Such a warm, friendly girl and very skilled at her craft.

Hi highly recommend Novo Hair Salons. I booked my appointment online which was really easy & also my cut & blow dry... with Kevin. Best haircut & blowdry I’ve had in years & will be rebooking to have my colour done by him. ABSOLUTELY HEARTBROKEN, WOULD NEVER GO BACK! Had been going to this salon since a young age. I’m naturally brown and... would go to novo to bleach my hair blonde as I would never risk it myself (hence why I payed the prices on the promise that a professional will know what is best for my hair). When I initially started the journey of going blonde I wasn’t offered a strand test which I did find strange but again I wasn’t a hairdresser so I was not aware of the procedures and hadn’t been to any other salon in my life. My hair had been continuously bleached on the bottoms as a recommended refresh not to me realising that 30% of my hair had broken off and only left many 5cm strands. I only realised the true extent of the damage when I seeked outside professional advice where I was told about the HORRENDOUS condition that my hair was in. So bad that I could not even bleach my hair anymore. I wouldn’t mind if I could just bob my hair most of the damaged hair is so short that that wouldn’t help it. Summarising I am absolutely heartbroken... with your hair you trust someone and expecially when you spend the money you expect to have cared for hair let alone thin, broken hair.read more

Took my 11 year old daughter to Novo this morning. However paid extra for a hair ‘specialist’ who has supposedly been there 18 years, to give me a... balayage, and was given a full head of highlights instead, which left my hair disgusting and left me very upset.. Not forgetting it was an awkward expirence and I was barely spoken to throughout the time of my hair being coloured wrongly, wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t go back, however I’ve got my refund and am now paying £105 for my hair to be fixed ELSEWHERE�read more

I've been coming this novo for years and will say it's one of the best ever hairdressers in Essex.
The staff are the... most accommodating, professional, friendly , awesome people you will come across who are passionate about hairdressing as well as making your time at the salon relaxing and also a chilled atmosphere.
Christina one of the senior colourists at NOVO who is exceptional and really takes her time to know each individual customer, and works together to provide and deliver perfect colours to suit individual clients.
Kevin the owner I must say goes above and beyond his role and I recommend anyone who has never experienced NOVO salon to book an appointment. Thank you for all your beautiful haircuts and hair colourings I've had over the years it's much appreciated.read more

I originally... found Novo online from good reviews and I can tell you now, it's worth every penny!!! The people are lovely, the drinks are tasty, the massages are amazing, the hair cut are astounding and the colour work is out of this world! My hair was so bland, this and lifeless before going in to novo and thanks to the Olaplex treatment my hair feels so think and healthy. I would recommend this place to all my friends!!!read more
